Regular school administration hours are from 8:30am-6pm Monday through Friday. Pathfinders offers multiple programs and the timings vary accordingly. Please check in the program listing for further information.
The admission intake starts for children at 7 months through the age of 5 years across different programs.
We typically determine the eligible program for your child based on age. Children are grouped on the basis of the program type they have enrolled for.
Parents can send us an enquiry with child name, age, parent contact number to [email protected] to find out about availability and space. Enrollment is on-going and a child may commence the program anytime during the year.
We do not have a prerequisite for children being potty trained till they are 3 years old. If your child is not toilet trained, please speak with his/her teacher prior to the first class. Toilet training should begin at home. When you feel your child is ready for this developmental stage, we will be happy to support your efforts at school. Meanwhile the child needs to continue to wear a pull-up diaper at school till he/she has gained full control.
The initial transition period when the child is in the process of gaining comfort in the school environment is known as the ‘weaning period’. Most of the academic programs have a weaning period and the duration depends on a number of factors like the age of the child, routine etc. Parents or guardians are expected to be available throughout to meet their children’s needs through the weaning period. The details of the process are explained to the parents during the orientation program before joining the school.
All of our teachers are certified in Early Childhood Education. Above all, we seek teachers with experience and passion to be in this field. On an ongoing basis, our staff work closely with each other to develop lesson plans. Our preschool also provides continuing in-service training and enables teams of teachers to attend workshops for the latest in concepts, methods, and materials. Our teachers have the energy, intellect, and charisma that take children on a magical and challenging voyage of discovery. We ensure that our teachers are well-educated and nurturing people who respect the children’s need for security while encouraging autonomy and independence.
For the age group of children under 2 years, we have 5 children with one teacher and above and for the age group of children 2 years, we have 10 children with one teacher. Each classroom is equipped with one lady attendant. All our classrooms have two teachers and a lady attendant.
Efforts to help students understand behaviors that are allowed, accepted, and encouraged leading to positive results through our positive reinforcement and redirection. In case there are any concerns, teachers will communicate with parents so that school and home are working together with a child’s best interests in mind.
Our curriculum focuses on play way activity-based settings in a diverse coeducational community that emphasizes responsibility, stimulates collaboration, self-learning and promotes mutual respect. Our children learn to have confidence, independence, high self-esteem and develop a joy of learning. We follow a thematic approach to learning. We provide a nurturing program that unfolds the authentic spirit and character of each child while educating their hearts and minds. Our teachers seek to instill a deep and lasting academic excellence, one that prepares children to learn confidently for the rest of their lives and to give generously and joyfully to others.
It is our goal to keep each child safe and to honor identified food allergies/restrictions to the best of our ability. The teachers put up a list of all food allergies in the classroom. Parents must submit written documentation in the Health Record form with specific guidelines for addressing each special type of dietary need and food allergy. If the child’s allergy status changes, parents must notify the school on email at [email protected] of these changes so we can update the child’s posted allergy sheet in the classroom.
Lunch has to be sent in the morning with the child or sent to school by 11.30am. Blankets come from home and are sent back weekly to be laundered and brought back on Monday. For specific occasions you will get communications from school for dress up or home toys.
The toys, classrooms and surface areas are sanitized using an antiseptic and water solution after each program. Our lady attendants maintain school hygiene and cleanliness on a daily basis.
